The Education Foundation of Little Silver (EFLS) is a 501c3 organization. The purpose of the Foundation is to enrich and support technology and other educational programs for students in the Little Silver School district as well as residents of the Little Silver community. For over 20 years, the EFLS has worked to place technology directly into the hands of the students at Point Road and Markham Place schools.
Since 1995, over $1,000,000 has been raised to help fund technology and other educational programs for both Little Silver schools. The 2016 Event – “Happy 21st Birthday EFLS” – allowed the EFLS to fund over $100,000 worth of equipment for the two schools and the Little Silver Library.
The technology in our schools is not consistent from classroom to classroom, or grade to grade. Funding is necessary to establish greater parity and replace aging equipment. From SMART TVs to special project and educational software to digital equipment of varying types, there are many needs for technology investment both big and small in our schools.
In conjunction with the Little Silver Board of Education, a three year investment roadmap for the EFLS was outlined in 2013 that includes adding SMART board/ENO Board technology to all grades/all classrooms – a standard in many school districts of today – as well as systematic upgrades for dated equipment.

SOURCES OF FUNDRAISING
Our once a year event allows us to raise a significant amount of money through sponsorships, auction sales and raffle tickets. The bulk of ticket revenue funds the cost of the event itself. The EFLS is seeking to extend its fundraising through smaller efforts, most of which are outlined on our website www.EFLS.org. We are always looking for additional ways to raise money! Please contact us and find out how you can help!
